Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice 🍂

I have been LOVING the taste that my Pumpkin Spice brings in a dish! The warming spices are just what my body is craving as the weather cools down, and the spices are incredibly versatile. I've used it in hot chocolate, pumpkin spice lattes, cupcakes, mug cakes, cookies and even sprinkled on savoury dishes. What is your favourite way of Pumpkin Spice?

As a mom of two, I am all about time efficiency, which is why when I make this recipe I always double it. Place in a glass jar (or preferred container), LABEL (my own downfall -learn from my mistakes - you will not remember what it is! haha) and keep for future use.

Over the years I have started noticing the taste of different cinnamons. I love them all, however in case you wanted a very specific kind to buy, I used Organic Saigon Cinnamon (ground). I also bought whole nutmeg and finely grated the amount I needed for this recipe. Bought ground nutmeg just doesn’t compare to the freshly grated nutmeg in my opinion. The rest of the spices I bought ground (some Organic, some not depending on what I could find).

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

SERVING just shy of 3 tablespoons of spice mix

PREP 5 mins / TOTAL TIME 5 minutes

Ingredients

~ 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

~ 2 tsp ground ginger

~ 1/2-1 tsp allspice

~ 1- 1 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

~ 1/2- 3/4 tsp ground cloves

Steps

1. Measure spices into a bowl or jar and stir together. Use right away or store for another time.

*Note: I love having the extra punch of spice which the larger measurements listed above bring. If you want to have a safer mix, go with the smaller of the measurements above.

Happy Eating Friends!
