3 Ingredient Magic Chocolate Shell

This 3 Ingredient Magic Chocolate Shell is EVERYTHING.

In the summer, my husband and I would buy local ice cream and drizzle some of this 3 Ingredient Magic Chocolate Shell on top = perfection! The texture that the hardened chocolate provides to the ice cream rounds everything out so well.

Made with only 3 ingredients, it only takes a few minutes to make this 3 Ingredient Magic Chocolate Shell. It has way less sugar than the conventional chocolate hard shell (and no preservatives!) making it a wholesome dessert to enjoy. I like to make a batch and keep it in an airtight container or jar for up to 2 weeks (although lets be honest, it doesn’t last that long!). Gently reheat in the microwave when ready to use again, pour and store back in the fridge.

SERVING 1.5 cups or 5-8 portions of 3 Tbsp

PREP 3 mins  / TOTAL TIME 3 minutes

Ingredients

~ ½ cup melted coconut oil

~ 6.5 Tbsp organic cocoa powder (dutch processed is my fav)

~ 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup

Steps 

1. Melt the coconut oil in a measuring cup. Ensure that the oil is fully melted but not piping hot!

2.Whisk the rest of the ingredients together in the measuring cup and pour over your ice cream immediately. Within seconds you will see the sauce hardening – ta-da! Your dessert is ready for you to enjoy.

* Notes - Just microwave for 20 seconds, give it a stir and pour over your ice cream or dessert.
